Anthony Soave’s drive to get the most out of life boosted his business, Soave Enterprises, to No. 251 on Forbes’ list of largest privately held companies. That drive also spurred the birth of a community of tight-knit neighbors with close-to-home shopping. In Ashburn, Va., Brambleton is a result of those dreams, offering community members most of the amenities they’ll ever need.
Today, the community includes 2,700 occupied homes, but when it’s complete, it will have more than 8,000. Brambleton’s build out is estimated to be complete in 2020.
Ashburn is in Loudoun County, Va., which is just outside Washington, D.C., and has been ranked as one of the fastest-growing counties in the country.
The sprawling 2,000-acre Brambleton is one of the first wireless, high-tech communities in the United States. It includes roughly 6,200 single-family homes, town homes, luxury apartments and condominiums catering to a range of residents – singles, couples, maturing families and active adults. “Homes are nestled among lakes, wooded areas and open space,” Soave Real Estate says.
Brambleton’s design encourages residents and visitors to get out and be active, so the geography is a big feature. “We believe in having more than just a sidewalk for exploring,” Brambleton says. “You should be discovering new territory every time you walk out your back door. After all, Brambletonians have more than a 2,000-acre back yard in Loudoun County at their disposal.
“And if our back yard isn’t big enough, [residents can] discover the world with lightning-fast Verizon FIOS and fiber-to-the-premise technologies,” it adds.
Brambleton’s recreation and other amenities include:
Soave Real Estate teamed up with a number of homebuilders to construct the unique residential options at Brambleton, such as single-family homes and town homes built by Beazer Homes, Camberley Homes, Gulick Group, Miller & Smith, Stanley Martin, Pulte Homes, Van Metre Homes and Winchester Homes. Camberly Homes offers 48 contemporary town homes with square footage from 1,700 to 2,200 square feet adjacent to Brambleton’s town center.
Beazer Homes, one of the homebuilders in the Overlook at Brambleton, offers high-efficiency town homes. The units feature efficient Whirlpool appliances, programmable Honeywell thermostats and efficient light bulbs.
Winchester Homes built a number of single-family homes for Brambleton, with many models selling for just more than $500,000 with four bedrooms, and two full and one half-bathroom. And Miller and Smith is building single-family home floorplans that include a first-floor master suite.
Brambleton’s town center literally has it all for residents. Entertainment options include the A&A School of Music, Color Me Mine pottery painting and Regal Fox 16 Cinemas. Residents and visitors also can dine at a variety of establishments, including Caliente Mex-Sea Kitchen & Bar, Johnny Rockets, Subway, Cold Stone Creamery, Blue Ridge Grill, My Thai Place, Nick’s Corner Grill and Scotto’s Rigatoni Grill.
But the town center’s offerings reach far beyond dining and entertainment – residents can shop for formal wear, get their nails done or hair cut, stop by the toy store or look for home décor at the Art & Frame Depot.
“The town center is just one more place we get to let loose and hang out,” Brambleton says. “Town center is our shopping center and social hub, rivaling the best shopping and dining opportunities Ashburn has to offer.”
